This all started because I had a room and some drums. Then I thought, “Well, I already engineer. I may as well start recording drums.” That was years ago.  Then someone needed to do a vocal, an overdub of this or that, a whole song, and now we’re here.

Being in Nashville, you get to see and hear how some of the best songs become the best songs.  From the coffee shop napkin to album, it really is like the movies in that way. And I’ve become fascinated by how I can try to help someone make their song the best version of itself. That’s what’s important to me. Yeah, the gear can do fun things, the computer helps, but the idea is what matters most to me.
